Fred Browning is the Chief Underwriting Officer at Accretive. Fred is pivotal in shaping the company’s growth strategy by leading new program development, providing expert analysis on complex risks and industries, and strengthening carrier partnerships. As a seasoned insurance professional with over 35 years of leadership experience in the insurance industry, Fred’s expertise in specialty property & casualty, wholesale brokerage, and distribution establishes him as the preeminent industry expert.
Before joining Accretive, Fred had previously served as the Chief Underwriting Officer for AmeriTrust Insurance, where he was responsible for the corporate underwriting for several companies, including admitted and excess surplus lines insurers. Additionally, Fred has held executive leadership positions for national insurers, including Chairman, President, and CEO of Chrysler Insurance Group. At Chrysler, he was responsible for the worldwide insurance operations, which included three property casualty insurers, a reinsurance company, two life insurers, and a national wholesale broker.
